Job Title: Building Automation Assistant Project Manager

Location: Bellingham, WA

Job Summary

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the execution of Building Automation System (BAS) projects in Bellingham, WA, and the surrounding region. In this role, you'll collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure smart building systems are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities

• Supported the planning and execution of BAS projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and clients to assist in developing technical plans and documentation.
• Track and manage project deliverables, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout materials.
• Assist with procurement, subcontractor scheduling, and quality control.
• Participate in job site meetings and help facilitate field coordination during installation and commissioning.
• Help manage system startup, integration, and functional testing of HVAC, lighting, and control systems.
• Support issue resolution in the field and maintain effective communication among all stakeholders.
• Stay informed on emerging BAS technologies, codes, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 2 years of experience in construction or project coordination, preferably in BAS, MEP systems, or low-voltage controls.
• Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Tridium, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, or Schneider.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and building controls.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD (or similar tools).
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• PMP certification or relevant project management training is a plus.
