Job Title: BAS Project Manager

Location: Reno, NV

Job Summary

We seek an experienced and proactive BAS Project Manager to lead the delivery of Building Automation System (BAS) projects throughout the Reno, NV region. In this key role, you’ll manage the planning, execution, and completion of automation and control projects across commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring technical excellence, budget control, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of BAS projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
• Oversee project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and billing milestones.
• Collaborate with internal teams—engineering, programming, field technicians—and external partners to ensure project success.
• Review system designs, control sequences, and technical documentation for compliance and accuracy.
• Coordinate system installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors; maintain clear and consistent communication throughout.
• Maintain comprehensive project records, including RFIs, submittals, as-builts, and closeout documentation.
• Ensure safety, quality standards, and performance metrics are upheld on every project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 4 years of BAS or controls project management experience in commercial or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, or Schneider Electric.
• Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, control sequences, and building integration standards.
• Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Excel), Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and related tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• PMP certification, OSHA 30, or formal project management training is a plus.
