*Clinical Laboratory Specialist Lead – Charlotte*

*(with New York State requirements) *

Under minimal supervision and using independent judgment, this position is responsible for performing routine testing of biological specimens and reviewing test results and quality assessment data in accordance with all applicable guidelines and procedures. This position is also responsible for providing skilled technical support in the laboratory. Incumbents will participate in the administrative and workflow coordination functions of the laboratory. Clinical Laboratory Specialist Leads must maintain required competencies for applicable testing.

*Shift Differentials for 2nd (12%), 3rd (20%) and an additional 8% for qualifying weekend hours worked*

*Shift 3: Wednesday to Saturday 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM*

*Required Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s higher degree: (preferred) in biology, physical science, medical technology, chemistry
* o Six months of supervised relevant training/experience and at least 4 years of subsequent laboratory experience, to include at least 1 year of workflow coordination experience.
