Your Role : Tetra Tech has an immediate opening in our Boston, Massachusetts office for an Engineering Project Manager with experience in solid waste management and engineering. Responsibilities: Preparation, oversight, and review of work products, including performance of calculations, preparation of technical memoranda and reports, construction plans and technical specifications, preparation of cost estimates and feasibility studies, permit applications, and interpretation of federal, state, and local agency regulations. Planning and implementation of investigations; data analysis and abstraction. Participation in advanced gas modeling projects, development concepts, and operational and design strategies for renewable natural and landfill gas projects. Client relations and new client business development activities including proposals. Communication with regulatory agency staff and direction of staff. Travel to job sites and may involve fieldwork. Your Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or above in engineering or related environmental field. Project management experience on engineering and technical projects. 8+ years of experience in a related field, including: Solid Waste Management and Engineering Environmental Engineering Landfill/Renewable Natural Gas Design Professional Engineering license preferred. Regulatory experience in the Northeast a plus. Capability to interact with clients, support sales efforts, and presentations. Ability to supervise technical and support staff, provide leadership and mentoring to entry-level personnel. Experience leading and supporting multi-discipline proposal efforts. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Proficiency with computer usage for document preparation including Word and Excel. Additional Qualifications: Currently licensed or ability to obtain licensure as Professional Engineer in New Jersey and/or New York. Previous experience with design, permitting, and construction of solid waste projects. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering or science discipline and 15+ years' experience. Established client relationships. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to effectively write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, scheduling, and accounting software. CAD or GIS skills a plus. Must obtain/maintain OSHA, HAZWOPER certification per company policy and job duties. Ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
