We are urgently seeking a reliable and energetic full-time Transfer Driver. The Transfer Driver works as part of a team in the warehouse operations. The Transfer Driver's responsibilities include driving a company delivery vehicle to transport merchandise between the warehouse and the company stores as well as loading and unloading merchandise. A CDL is NOT required for this position . License MUST be approved by insurance. Come be part of the growing team!

Primary Responsibilities
• Load, secure, and protect the merchandise in the delivery vehicle and safely transport merchandise
• Unload merchandise from delivery vehicle and perform basic assembly of merchandise
• Assure that all merchandise opened and inspected has an inspection tag
• Obtain all miscellaneous parts and paperwork prior to leaving the warehouse or store
• Ensure that all merchandise hardware is kept with its perspective piece
• Maintain furniture supplies, such as modi-plates, plastic bags, and mirror screws
• Assist with merchandise set up on the showroom floor
• Maintain records of merchandise being delivered and picked up and submit all paperwork to the warehouse manager or immediate supervisor
• Notify the warehouse manager or immediate supervisor immediately of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or damaged items
• Maintain compliance with the company’s driver qualification policy
• Abide by all transportation laws
• Report immediately to the warehouse manager or immediate supervisor any traffic violations, on or off duty, that may affect your driver’s license and/or insurability
• Comply with all company delivery vehicle safety standards and documentation
• Conduct daily inspection of assigned delivery vehicle to ensure safety and maintenance guidelines are met
• Ensure that the delivery vehicle is fueled at the end of each day
• Park delivery vehicle at the proper bay door, lock the vehicle, and return the keys to the warehouse manager or immediate supervisor
• Maintain a clean delivery vehicle, inside the cabin and the back of the delivery vehicle
• Assist in keeping the inside and outside warehouse surroundings free of debris on a daily basis
• Serve as a backup for the Furniture Delivery Driver
• Other duties as assigned
