Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Mansfield, MA . This role requires conducting audits, leading CAPA investigations, and collaborating across teams to ensure compliance with ISO-13485 and FDA standards.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:
Manage and investigate non-conforming material reports (NCMRs) in an electronic quality system.
Conduct internal and supplier audits in accordance with ISO-13485 and 21 CFR 820 requirements.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) for quality issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and risk management initiatives.
Analyze and interpret data using statistical tools to improve product and process performance.
Oversee material identification, segregation, and defect classification on the manufacturing floor.
Required Skills Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a senior-level role.
Must have experience in the medical device industry with strong knowledge of FDA and ISO-13485 standards.
Must be able to manage non-conforming material reports in an electronic-based system and navigate manufacturing facilities frequently (physical requirement: extensive walking).
