Job Description

This position is for a Paraprofessional supporting K-12 students at a school located in Elgin, IL. This is a contract role covering the full school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in the classroom to support student learning and engagement
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce lessons
• Support students with special needs as directed by the classroom teacher or specialist staff
• Help supervise students during activities, transitions, and lunch/recess periods
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of instructional materials
• Monitor student behavior and provide positive reinforcement

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or working with K-12 students preferred
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed
• Relevant paraprofessional certification or training preferred according to state requirements

Employment Details:

• Contract position for the entire school year
